For the month of January, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada set an all-time record with 1,442 vehicles sold topping last year’s sales by 16 per cent.

The Outlander brand delivered 631 vehicles last month with the gasoline version selling 449 units and Outlander PHEV selling 182 units. Last year’s top-selling Mitsubishi nameplate, RVR continued its strong sales streak with 412 vehicles delivered. Eclipse Cross rounds out the SUV lineup with 256 sales for month of January. Mitsubishi Motors’ subcompact Mirage and Mirage G4 models hit 143 deliveries.

Outlander PHEV launched in 2018 to tremendous success quickly establishing itself as Canada’s top-selling plug-in hybrid helping to position Canada as the third top-selling country globally for the sale of Outlander PHEV and accounting for 24 per cent of plug-in hybrid sales in the country. Canada’s top-selling Outlander PHEV dealer in 2018 is Metrotown Mitsubishi located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The dealership also has the distinction of selling the first Outlander PHEV in Canada.
