Mitsubishi Motors continuing positive momentum in 2024
- Mitsubishi has best Q1 on record for total sales
- Outlander PHEV continues to be Canada’s best-selling PHEV SUV

MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 10, 2024 – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) has started 2024 off on a positive note with continued strong sales across the lineup and another record month for its flagship model, the Outlander PHEV.
For the first quarter of 2024, MMSCAN had total sales of 8,921 units, a nearly 20% improvement over the same period last year. It marked the best-ever Q1 in the company’s 22-year history in Canada. January 2024 was the best January on record; February 2024 was the best February on record; and March 2024 was the second-best March on record.
The award-winning Outlander PHEV continues to be Canada’s best-selling Plug-in Hybrid SUV. March marked another record month for the nameplate, with 1,084 total units sold. With 2,690 Outlander PHEVs sold in Q1, it was the best-ever first quarter for the vehicle. It was also the best-ever Q1 for the gas version of the Outlander, selling 2,820 units.
The end of March also marked the close of Mitsubishi’s 2023 Fiscal Year. FY23 was the best on record for overall vehicle sales with 37,165 total units sold, a 62% increase from FY22. Both the Outlander and Outlander PHEV sold more than 10,000 units in FY23, which marks a significant milestone for the two marquee vehicles.
