- Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada renews partnership with Food Banks Canada for 2026
- All 98 Mitsubishi dealerships across Canada are participating in this year's campaign
- National campaign results and donation totals will be announced on Oct. 15
MISSISSAUGA, ON, September 1, 2026 – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) is launching the sixth annual Driving to End Hunger campaign with Food Banks Canada after raising more than $900,000 over the past five years. For the second-consecutive year, all Mitsubishi Motors dealerships across Canada will participate and support food banks in the communities they serve.
From Sept. 1 through Oct. 2, Mitsubishi Motors dealerships will invite customers and community members to support local food banks by donating non-perishable food items and funds. Participating dealerships will also organize food drives, fundraising initiatives and community events throughout the campaign.
Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada will contribute $100,000 to Food Banks Canada to support food security programs across the country, including in communities without a local Mitsubishi Motors dealership.
“Every year, Driving to End Hunger reminds us that meaningful change begins at the local level,” said Kenichi Kawaji, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada. “When every dealership gets involved, we can extend our impact far beyond our showrooms. We're grateful to our dealers, employees and customers for helping make this campaign stronger every year.”
“With food bank use reaching the highest levels in Canadian history, Food Banks Canada is grateful to be marking five years of partnership with Mitsubishi Motors,” said Kirstin Beardsley, Chief Executive Officer, Food Banks Canada. “Through the Driving to End Hunger campaign, Mitsubishi Motors has once again stood alongside Food Banks Canada and communities across the country who need it most. At a time when support is needed more than ever, we are deeply thankful for Mitsubishi Motors’ ongoing generosity and commitment to helping build a future where no one goes hungry.”
The food drive campaign runs from Sept. 1 to Oct. 2, with dealerships delivering donations to community food banks Oct. 5 to 9 ahead of Thanksgiving Day on Oct. 12. Mitsubishi Motors and local dealers will announce donation totals on World Food Day, Friday, Oct. 16.
Beyond dealer activities, employees at MMSCAN’s Head Office and Parts Distribution Centre will volunteer with Food Banks Mississauga in October. At the national level, contributions to Food Banks Canada can also be made through the Mitsubishi Motors’ Canadian website at mitsubishi-motors.ca/en/drivingtoendhunger
