Mitsubishi Motors and Canadian dealers Drive to End Hunger with donations of $316,000 and 4,690kg of food

Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada and its dealer network have once again united to support communities across the country through the 2025 Driving to End Hunger campaign.

Now in its fifth year, the 2025 campaign ran over several weeks leading up to World Food Day on Thursday, Oct. 16. Participating dealers gathered monetary contributions and much-needed food donations to support Food Banks Canada and local food banks across the country.

The Driving to End Hunger campaign generated a combined total of $316,000 and more than 4,690 kilograms of food from Mitsubishi Motors Canada and its 97 dealerships. As part of this year’s efforts, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada made a direct donation to Food Banks Canada at the national level while employees at the company’s head office and Parts Distribution Centre in Mississauga, ON also contributed food through internal drives and volunteer efforts. Since 2021, Mitsubishi Motors and its Canadian dealers have donated more than $1.1 million to local and national food bank organizations.

Kirstin Beardsley, Chief Executive Officer, Food Banks Canada, said World Food Day is an important time to “increase awareness of world hunger, food insecurity and poverty to inspire solutions for change, together.”
