Balanced Power and Efficiency

The Outlander PHEV features a unique twin-electric motor system that delivers superior power at an outstanding 3.6L/100km efficiency combined , so you get remarkably efficient performance when and where you need it.
EV Drive Mode uses the lithium-ion battery to power the electric motors for a quiet, clean and powerful drive with zero fuel consumption and zero CO₂ tailpipe emissions.
Series Hybrid Mode uses engine-generated electricity to power the electric motors. This provides an additional boost when more power is needed, including when driving uphill and accelerating.
Parallel Hybrid Mode employs the engine to power the front wheels of the Outlander PHEV, with assistance from the electric motors when extra power is needed. Excess energy is used to charge the lithium-ion battery when driving in this mode.

With Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC), you are in total control. The vehicle responds with precision to your driving, plus road and weather conditions. S-AWC

Unique Driver-Selectable Drive Modes

POWER maximizes acceleration performance to enhance responsiveness during situations where more torque is required, such as passing on the highway.
ECO mode improves the efficiency of the gasoline engine and S-AWC to support fuel-efficient driving.
NORMAL mode offers well-balanced all-wheel drive dynamics, resulting in enhanced fuel efficiency, traction, high-speed stability and predictable handling across a variety of road conditions and driving styles.
TARMAC mode provides enhanced agility and heightened performance when travelling on dry, paved roads.
GRAVEL mode delivers maximum traction on coarser roads or whenever you might find yourself stuck in a rough patch of off-road terrain.
SNOW mode provides improved traction and stability specifically for light-to-medium snow-covered or slippery roads.
MUD mode enhances performance when driving through muddy or deep snow, especially when accelerating and/or turning from a stopped position.

ENGINE

Dependable Power when You Need It

The 2024 Outlander PHEV features a highly efficient 2.4L gasoline engine that provides supplemental power only when you need it. It can also provide engine-generated electricity to power the electric motors or recharge the drive battery via the on-board generator.

INNOVATIVE PEDAL

Complete Control with One Pedal

The Innovative Pedal allows you to control both acceleration and deceleration with just the accelerator pedal, letting you take in every exhilarating moment of your drive. When decelerating, regenerative braking and friction brakes will be used to recharge the drive battery and slow your vehicle.
